Pat Defee Legacy Scholarship Application

As part of the founding of Anna's Light Foundation, we are honored to establish the Pat Defee Legacy Scholarship in recognition of our close family friend and beloved coach.

This scholarship is awarded to a graduating senior from Northwest Louisiana who played softball and reflects the character, sportsmanship, and love for the game that Coach Pat Defee shared with every player he coached.

Coach Pat was known for his unwavering support, big heart, and passion for the game. He believed in his players on and off the field and was always someone cheering you on, no matter what. He showed those around him what it truly meant to be a leader and left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Beyond coaching, Pat was  devoted father to his four children: Ava, Dylan, Megan and Erin. While softball was a meaningful part of their lives, he always put his kids and players first, treating everyone like family.

This scholarship honors his legacy by recognizing a player who carries forward those same values both on and off the field.

In this inaugural year, the Pat Defee Legacy Scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $1,000.
