Launch of Anna's Light Foundation Scholarships
As part of the launch of Anna's Light Foundation, we are happy to announce two inaugural scholarships. These scholarships are inspired by the light, joy, and love that Anna shares with all of us.
Anna's Light Foundation was established to carry that same spirit forward - celebrating kindness, supporting young ladies as they grow within their schools and communities.
In this first year, we will recognize two graduating seniors whose character and the way they care for others reflect those same values.

Anna's Light Scholarship
Awarded in honor of Anna Wheeler to a Benton High School graduating senior who is known for sharing happiness and bringing joy to others. This scholarship recognizes a student who makes a positive impact on those around them through kindness, compassion, and general care for others.

Applications open April 1, 2026 and close April 30, 2026. The recipient will be announced in May 2026.
Pat Defee Legacy Scholarship
Awarded to a graduating senior from Northwest Louisiana who played softball and carries forward the character, sportsmanship, and love for the game that Coach Pat Defee shared with the players he coached.
This scholarship honors the lasting impact that great coaches and mentors have on young athletes and recognizes a player who reflects those same values both on and off the field.
